Caleb - Vienna Sausages

Our grandparents flew in to visit us, and they proclaimed that they had some sort of surprise trip.  We waited for three whole days trying to figure out where we were going.  We finally kind of came up with some solutions.  I thought we were going to Spain and so did Mom.  Dad thought we were going to Australia, but he just exclaimed that because he didn't really want to play the guessing game.  Joshua thought we were going to Portugal.  Finally, the day had come.  We were in the train heading for Schipol Airport.  We were playing the game, and everyone was shouting guesses, and we were going bananas.  Finally Dad guessed Budapest and our grandparents whispered, "Yes!" Somehow Vienna came up in the discussion, and they whispered again, "yes!"   We flew to Budapest and zoomed strait to a castle-like hotel.

When we got there we stood with our mouths open for about three seconds staring at it. It was very breathtaking! When we got inside my grandma and my mom took about 93 pictures in the first minute.  We got our first two rooms and since our grandpa had been so nice to the lady at the front desk we got an upgraded room with a jumbo hot chocolate maker, gigantic hall, and a giant round bathtub!

Our first day in Budapest was going sightseeing to churches, visiting castles, then dining at very prestigious restaurant that served the famous goulash soup!

The next day it was Mother's Day and my grandma and I decided that since my mom was so great that we would fill the round bathtub with hot water, buy her a gorgeous cheesecake, put candles up, and let her have a relaxing Mother's Day night while we watched Annie.

We only had two days left so we decided to go on the Ferris wheel which is the second biggest in the world I think!!!!

On our final and last day we went to a place that had 18 hot tubs that were as big as pools!

Then we took a two hour train in first class to Vienna that was awesome and even had Wi-Fi.

We arrived in Vienna. In Vienna we went sightseeing like in Budapest and got The famous Vienna sausages!

There were also many people to help that didn't have homes in Vienna.

There was something special about Vienna that my grandma and grandpa had planned when they first planned the trip.  We were going to go to an awesome amusement park!  We were there for a whole night, but Josh and I were the only ones who could really do the crazy rides because it makes my dad sick and my mom sick to twirl upside down in circles.

There was a fun house Josh and I were in for about 40 minutes.  Since there was no time limit we went up and down the moving stairs and running into the twirling punching bags!  My mom finally announced we should get going so Josh and I trounced off tired and weary with sugarplums dancing in our heads!

Joshua really wanted to do this water ride but would only do it if someone else did it with him, so Josh and I decided to do this water roller coaster in our clothes! We came out pretty wet but ecstatic!

This was our last day.  We were all droopy because we had to go back home, but we were thrilled that we still had another week together.  The next day we had to say goodbye to our Vienna sausages!
