Three weeks ago we vacationed
in exquisite amazing Switzerland! When we arrived at the airport in
Switzerland, disappointingly there was no snow even though we came to ski. The
plane trip was two hours, and then we got on a train for 43 days (really 4hrs). Finally we were in the Alps where we could
see snow. The entrance to the hotel was the weirdest thing ever seen. After
opening the doors
When we go to the elevator, it
took about three minutes to get to the first floor because it was 40 meters
up!!! Very tiring.
After about another
20 minutes, we finally arrived in our room; even though it took so long to
get to our room we had a great view and a pretty nice cage!
Cockle doodle do! I
woke up pretty early because I was so excited to ski that I looked out the
window and before you could say good morning I had woken everyone up shouting,
“Josh look out the window it's as white as snow everywhere!” Josh who is particularly not fond of me
waking him up at 7:30 trudged his body to the window, opened his mouth, and
it wouldn't close!!!! After the ski day was over we went to an awesome
Italian place!
The skiing was definitely majestic but not very awesome
because we got lost on the trails a few times. We woke up for our second day. I was so excited that I jumped out of bed
looked out the window and before and you could say, “don't say anything Caleb,”
I had woken everyone up! Again Joshua trudged out of bed and stared out the
window with his mouth open, but this time his mouth did close. The second day’s
skiing experience was a lot more fun than the first days because we had
discovered a really cool racetrack. The first time we did the track dad got
56 seconds, Josh got 41 seconds, I got 33 seconds and mom got 32. The second
time we did it dad improved his skiing a lot.
He did not crash, and he did not run off the side of the road! He got
36 seconds, Josh got 35 seconds, mom got 31 seconds and I got 31 seconds!!!
Me and mom were competing on our last round to see who could get first! Joshua got 35 again, Dad got it, we’ll just
say five hours, mom got 31 seconds again and I got…….. drum-roll 29 seconds……..
We went to bed that night, but we knew that in America the Spartan game would
be going on at 2 AM. They were in the
final four, so we couldn't miss that. They
were playing the Duke Blue Devils, so we had to watch. Dad streamed it through
his iPad and we watched the game. There
was only one problem that I did not like about waking up at 2 AM. We woke up to watch our team get creamed by
20 points.
We woke up for our
third and last day. This time I did
not wake everyone up! It did snow more
in the night again, and it was still snowing at this time. We went to ski but
our cards had expired because we only bought two day lift tickets so we
bought more. Except this time instead of buying Switzerland ski tickets we
bought Italian ski tickets because Italy borders Switzerland. We set off to
ski in Italy! At this time it was
still snowing. We had the most fun and probably the most memorable day yet. We were coming back at 3 PM because the
lifts were about to close. When we got
off the last lift, the clouds were so bad that if a person was 10 feet in
front of you, you could not see more than their shirt. We arrived at the
hotel and went straight to bed.
We woke up and took a
four hour train ride to, “Blahh why do we always have to take a four hour
train ride everywhere?” We arrived in Geneva and stayed in a really nice
hotel. We were only there for a couple
hours so we had to make the best of it. We woke up the next day and went
straight to the airport! When we arrived we had a few hours to burn at the
airport, so we played until then! We got on the airplane, and two hours later
the Switzerland trip was over!
