Take a Hike Ike - Hunkering Down

Hurricane Ike is heading our way, and like all of our neighbors and many of our friends, we are staying put. With bath tubs filled, front door boarded, ice chests filled, pantry stocked (enough for a month), lawn furniture dumped in the pool and stacked in the garage we are as ready as we can be. The track still shows the storm heading for Galveston and then up through our area with winds anticipated to be around 80 miles per hour. But, we are blessed to have a sturdy house and places that we can go without windows. They estimate we may be without power for a few days, so don't worry if you don't hear from us for a while.

Surely they won't blow out of here!

Thankful for that 3 car garage!

The neighborhood friends had fun decorating the doors!

Here comes the first rain band.....but it's still pretty calm before the storm..3pm CST.

Video....Here comes the rain!!!!

I think you should tie ropes around those fartsniffer's feet, tie them to a tree, and let them fly like kites in the wind. They'd have a blast! In fact, can I come down and you do it to me? Oh, also strap a camera to their heads.
