The whole family took Caleb to class, and he was very excited about his first day. Making it an even easier start was that his teacher, Mrs. Newsom, was Joshua's teacher two years ago. So, we all know and like her very well.
Joshua ran into our bedroom this morning full speed yelling first day of school!!! He couldn't wait to take Caleb to preschool and get started at home. We had a really fun first day working on reading, writing, spelling, math and Bible. He kept asking me, "is this the last lesson?" When I said, are you ready to be done? He said "no, I want to homeschool forever. This is so much fun." So, I think it was a successful start.
Last night, we celebrated the upcoming school days with buying our first pet...."Shiny" the Beta fish. I'm really glad that we started with a fish and not a dog or cat as when we woke in the morning, Shiny was "sleeping." Joshua and I made a run to the pet store on our way to pick up Caleb and we bought another Shiny. Apparently, we had a bum fish.
We love Shiny!
Here's your food.
