Chicago trip

We had a fantastic time in Chicago after riding coaches since our Amtrak train had no A/C. It was a disappointment to the little guys who had been looking forward to riding a train for 2 months, but we made it up to them later with the city trains.

The first day, we explored Navy Pier. We rode the Ferris wheel and other rides and had a great time at the Children's Museum.

The boys thought waiting for the "EL train" was a blast.

Lego store - VERY cool

The boys humored me and went roller blading and rode scooters along Lake Front Drive. John and I had bladed here back when we were dating, and I was dying to take the whole family on a ride.

The new Millenium Park is amazing. Two water walls face each other creating a huge splash opportunity for kids and adults to cool off. The faces and images on the giant screens change every few minutes. The funniest is when this boy gets an "oooh" expression and shoots water from his mouth.

The awesome view from John Hancock - bathrooms that is...thanks to a great tip from my sister in law, we had a great view and quick in and out.
