Pucas Adventures

January and February Fun

Happy New Year!

Fireworks in the cul de sac on New Year's night. The boys made it up until midnight (but their eyes were barely open) for the first time!

New Year's tradition - we devour our gingerbread. This year it was a train.

A daily ritual - wrestling with Daddy. Sometimes it includes soccer???

Caleb's field trip with his preschool to the local firestation.

Golf lessons with our homeschool group at the Kingwood Country Club.

Our family Christmas present of the basketball goal has quickly become a cul de sac favorite past time. The boys love it!!

John and I got a new mattress and the box was also quite a hit with the neighborhood. Who knew cardboard was so much fun?

Panera bread field trip with the Homeschool gang - Joshua is quite the cinnamon roll maker.

John and I coached basketball this year, and here's the team on awards night after we gave them all backpacks.

Joshua is a real natural and has taken a quick love to the game!

The whole team pre-game.

Learning about the vision of bugs at one of our field trips to the Museum of Natural Science.
On our field trip to the Butterfly Exhibit the butterflies took an amazing liking to Caleb, in particular. Check out the video at the bottom, it is hilarious!!

A post field trip train ride.

More field trips (do we ever do any school at "home?").
Ah yes, here's school at home and studying buoyancy and mass....yes we're all still in our pajamas :-)

Joshua and I planned the Valentine's party for Caleb's preschool class. We decided cotton candy would be in order, and it was quite the hit!

Caleb had a great time at the party.

Caleb wanted to be sure there was enough room in his bed for all the animals, so he relocated to the floor.....

The boys emptied out a kitchen cabinet to create the best hide and seek spot in the house.

One of our old moving boxes made a terrific rocket!

Here is the video from the Butterfly Exhibit. One butterfly stayed with Caleb for about 10 minutes. It just kept landing on him and fluttering around then returning. The kids thought it was the best time EVER!
